Hi there, I hope you’re all enjoying the sunny weather (such as it is lol).

I’ve just had a really good question on our discussion forum from Rosie who asks whether you can apply starflower oil direct on to the skin, as she’s used evening primrose oil that way to treat acne. It’s something I take for granted, but when Rosie asked, I realised it’s not something that’s been mentioned on our site, so let me tell you about it.

Starflower oil is normally swallowed in capsules, and the benefits of starflower oil are so well known to those of you who visit this site that I’ll say no more.

But in addition to that, starflower oil applied directly to the skin has been shown to produce benefits for acne, eczema and other minor skin complaints. So if you are being irritated by any of these, it’s worth a try in addition to your regular starflower oil capsules.

Treat your skin to soothing starflower cleansing milk

I’ve also found a really good range of skincare products that takes advantage of the soothing and healing properties of starflower oil, and a number of women I know use this range of starflower oil skin products with a lot of success.  If you’re keen on treating your skin well and have occasional worries about acne, eczema or other minor skin problems, then they’re certainly worth a look.
