Q. There are so many vitamins and supplements on sale, I’m confused!

A. Don’t worry. If you take the few that we recommend, and are otherwise healthy, you should be fine. There will always be something new being offered, but whether you need it or not is another matter!

Q. What about brittle bones as I get older?

A. Calcium supplements can help protect against brittle bones and osteoporosis. But see your doctor if you think you’ve got a problem.

Q. Do my joints need protecting?

A. As we get older, or if we take a lot of exercise, our joints get stiffer and start to wear out. Some people find that glucosamine sulphate can help.

Q. Do I need a multivitamin?

A. In theory, people get enough vitamins and minerals in a normal healthy diet. But as we get older our bodies become less able to absorb vitamins and minerals, so many people find that they benefit from a multivitamin specially formulated for the over 50s such as Vitamins 50+.
